Of all places sir, you should feel free to be silly here!

So Mr. Tam, what day shall I post new rules? I can't decide.

I do not like this rule, is there a right of appeal somewhere?

(I'm being silly, it's entirely understandable).

(I feel weird I felt obliged to clarify that :P)

I only ever steamrolled Cthun although my guildies who'd killed it when it was endgame had lots of horror stories.

Yogg Saron in t8 was fun. Because of all the target swapping I'd run oom fairly quickly as marks so often I'd move back to survival. You can go in now and basically make him your bitch though.

My fondest memory of the fight is doing 1 light in the darkness for our ironbound drakes. We'd had a load of poor attempts. The usual fuckups with clouds etc in phase 1. I jumped in with the melee to do the brain. We got the ideal room first try - hit heroism and just fucking went mental. THe silence on vent was eery as the small group of us brain humped this old god. We jump out before insanity hits and nobody is insane for once we'd had a really good 1st brain phase so we hold dps while the ranged clear up - Kill the brain then jump out. Last phase begins with no insanity - we blow hero for the casters and we go on adds. Gradually more of us swap to the boss as ranged get lower and lower on sanity until finally we're getting over run, "I shout for all dps to focus on the boss now" tanks are popping CDs and running, healers are dying and boom! Achievement spam and nerd screams. I just remember looking at my UI in amazement that I had 5sanity left.

As always - my RSS feed never fails me! I was looking at something like this for my own WoW blog, but in all honesty - no way was I going to step on your toes with posts like this.
I remember the same thing doing C'thun back at 60 - hell he was hard at 70 never mind 60 :D
And Yogg? Oh yes - such good fun trying to heal that place :D

Dragon bosses are awesome for aggro-pulling. When you're so conditioned to be afraid of the head and tail and suddenly that dragon whips around and noms a rogue's face off there's no way to hide the shame.

Ow, so many good memories here - I really loved karazhan, it was such a nicely designed instance! and nightbane was actually a bit of a running gag in my guild, one of our splat-rogues managed to get initial aggro on him during one of our first raids there, god knows how he did that, but it was such a funny instakill! x)

Two quick comments. I'll be brief!

One, “virtual” is a misnomer. If you were interacting entirely with artificial, canned responses from telnet bots supremely good at improvisation, I can see the use of that term. You’re actually sharing experiences with people; real goddamn human beings. At worst, it’s an incredibly personalized book club, with the stories isolated to the participants. This is amazing in its own right, and part of the reason I adore the table-top and LARP genre of role-playing. And at best? They’re real experiences with an artificial background. Friendships generated in false worlds are still friendships; the degree to which you respect them, hold onto them, and treat them truthfully is entirely up to the holders of that relationship, not some horrible, unspoken standard.

Two, I think outside change is necessary for a world to retain its authenticity.
